Lenten Days of Recollection

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA – During the season of Lent, the Saint Francis Retreat Center, 549 Mission Vineyard Road, will be having a Day of Recollection every Wednesday from beginning at 9am and concluding at 2pm.

Born in San Francisco, Fr Paul Botenhagen, OFM, entered the Franciscan Order in 1971. He attended Arizona State University and later received a Master of Divinity degree from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkley. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1982 by the Most Rev. Thaddeus A. Shubsda, 2nd Bishop of Monterey in California.

Fr Ken Laverone, OFM, is currently the executive director of the Saint Francis Retreat Center and has degrees in spirituality and in Canon Law. He has served as a pastor, retreat presenter, teacher, and canon lawyer. He has been a priest for 42 years and a Franciscan Friar for 24 years.

Each Day of Recollection will begin with the gathering and greeting of participants at 9:30am, followed by the first session at 10am. Mass will be celebrated at 11am, followed by lunch at 12pm, with the second and final session beginning at 1pm and concluding at 2pm.

No registration needed.
